Nick Watson received an Honours degree in Archaeology and Geology from the University of Bristol where he subsequently worked in environmental archaeology under Professor Martin Bell before leaving the UK to live in Spain. There he worked on prehistoric, Roman and medieval sites and spent several years recording the Hospitaller buildings in Ambel, Province of Zaragoza in Aragón, published by Chris Gerrard in 2002.
Commercial archaeology
In 2010, Nick returned to the UK to work in ARCA ́s laboratories at the University of Winchester, where he is involved in all aspects of sedimentary analysis, particularly particle size and magnetic susceptibility.
Research Interests
Nick is interested in Spanish Mudéjar and Romanesque architecture and the evolution of the Mediterranean landscape.
