ARCA was founded in 2005 and is based in the Department of Archaeology, Anthropology and Geography at the University of Winchester. Our highly trained specialist staff combine academic expertise with experience of delivering high-quality commercial solutions.

Being linked to an academic department, ARCA have access to a wealth of specialist knowledge, whilst maintaining active links to cutting-edge research. At our departmental base, we have dedicated laboratory facilities and a full range of specialist drilling, survey and analytical equipment.

As a UK-based specialist geoarchaeological contractor, ARCA is proud to
be recognised as a Registered Organisation by the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (CIfA).
