Research Services
Based within a university and with
a staff of academics, ARCA are ideally placed to offer high-quality
research services to a range of clients. Whether your requirements
are personal or commercial, our research experience ranges from
genealogical/ biographical and property histories through to
the synthesis of existing academic literature on archaeological
or historical topics. Commercially, this research can provide
extensive background material for use in DBAs, site reports
and full publication - all of which we are able to advise on,
and we can also provide a full 'report writing' service.
Expertise
ARCA staff have, between them, many years' experience of high-level
research in both the academic and commercial sectors, including
publication in, editing of and refereeing for internationally
rated, peer-reviewed journals and for major publishers. We
also have experience of providing advice on regional, national
and international research projects. For example ARCA staff
have contributed to recent English Heritage regional (South-West
England [SWARF] and Thames and Solent) and environmental archaeological
reviews. One member of the ARCA team has also acted as an
advisor to the Institute
of Archaeologists (IfA) on both the 'Pay Benchmarking'
project and 'Profiling the Profession 2007-8'.
